The driving force for this directory structure change was that I needed a reasonable place to put the user manual. This is the same text as in `e2compr.info' (except in a few areas where the documentation has been updated a little since the last release back in July).
I notice that texi2html has a few bugs
(including, ironically, its handling of the @url and
@email tags that were introduced to the Texinfo language
just for texi2html).
